About Us
Ti- Ratana Welfare Society is federally registered charity organization under Section 44(6) of income Tax Act 1967, dedicated towards serving and providing shelter, education and care to underprivileged residents of the communities.
We support the Government’s initiatives in promoting national unity, building healthy communities and including a caring culture in communities. Our programs and initiatives are funded solely through private donations and sponsorships.
It addresses social and welfare issues by taking on a proactive role with the provision of a Children’s Homes, Women’s Shelter, halfway House, and Loan of Healthcare Equipment to the needy, Its community center also caters for a range of other social and welfare program with special focus on academic and moral education on youth and nurturing them to be caring citizens of tomorrow.
After the lunching of Mobile Cline in Year 2002, we have till to-date provided general medical services to more than 10 rural areas within the county. The Mobile Clinic was conceptualized with the objective of making general medical treatment and medication easily accessible to the needy whilst the Free Clinic was conceptualized to provide free general medical treatment and medication to the local community.
Ti- Ratana Welfare Society’s Children’s Home is currently home to over 190 under-privileged children ranging from babies to 18 years old, 60 homeless elderly, and has assisted numerous unwed and single mothers, with few more on waiting list.
To curb the incidence of rising social ills in children and youth, the Society offers a range of social and welfare programs with particular focus in inculcating self-development, teamwork and leadership qualities, An example of which is the ‘Sayonara Camp’, and the ‘Leadership Camp’ for children between the ages of 13 years to 19 years old.
Taking the above dynamic commitments for the year into consideration, the Society will not only experience an increase in responsibilities but also see corresponding increases in its capital and operating costs of the various homes and centres. The fact remains that we are vulnerable to world economic slowdown as our financial viability are dependent on individual and corporate donors and sponsors.
As a voluntary social and welfare service organization, dependent solely on private donations, we are constantly under pressure to find innovative ways of responding to demands for our support and involvement without compromising on provision of adequate apace, appropriate standard of living and enhanced delivery of ‘quality of care’ to recipients of our social and welfare services.
In line with our aspirations to provide for the needy, we have our Administration Office at Bangsar which is opened to everybody. Likewise, we have in our pipeline the construction of another few centres such as the Ti-Ratana Community Centre-Penchala, Ti-Ratana Welfare Homes-Seri Gombak, Ti-Ratana Community Centre Home-Desa Petaling for children and the terminally ill.

为奉行佛陀慈悲救世的精神宗旨，秉承关怀社会， 孤老，妇幼福利的德愿，遵循宗教 导师达摩难陀长老之意，拿玛拉坦那 法师与一班热心人士策划下， 于1994 年发起创立慈爱福利协会，并于1997 年 二 月中，获得吉隆坡联邦直辖区的福利局认可下，正式注册为福利团体。
在创设初期，暂借用张志发夫妇位与沙力秀花园，门牌K45号的三层楼洋房为失亲儿童收容中心。
同年六月甘一日，由前社会福利发展暨 国民团结部长一拿丁巴都卡嘉丽哈主持开幕典礼，经 过五年后的建设服务，院童由出创的三名增加至四十二名，并先后为百名以上 困苦失依 儿童提供 临时栖身之所。
2000年始，有鉴于看到院童年龄逐渐成长，男女儿童的生理变化下，不适合住在同一个空间， 加上住院的人数不断的增加， 院舍的空间已不敷应用，于是，本会管理委员会同人商讨后，觉得有必要分别设男女童院，并积极的物色女院 新址。
2001年，成功购置了目前的16107 号原址，在装修期间，隔邻16106号及16105 号的业主也预出售；为实现创院的宏愿，已扩充服务范围，委员会同仁一致同意购买另两间产业，以供日后的有用途。
在装修期间，获得许多善心的商家与人士踊跃支持；捐助许多建筑材料，施工劳力；在众缘和合下，共攮义举，使 工 作顺利的完成了。
2002 年三月十二日 配合达摩难陀长老的八十三岁寿辰举行启用典礼，并设乐龄老人元。同年九月， 彭江 生夫妇 附设妇女援助中心，以提供受家庭暴力， 单亲和失婚妇女的个案服务。由于他们所捐献位于梳邦镇的产业不 获得有关单位的批准， 而向本 会寻求协助，在配合吉隆坡北区狮子会的筹募下，筹获十八万零吉的基金， 购买了新 址侧面的旧板屋供上述 用途，并于2003年前夕全面投入服务，一年来已经处理超越百名以上的各案。
慈爱福利协会的网路继续开发慈善事业， 接著由医药顾问黎广才医生率领一组沙登区狮子会志工，成立慈爱福利流动诊疗所， 展开为各地困苦贫民区；长屋区及偏远 原住民区近行诊疗， 施 赠捐助日常必 需品，布施活动。
这组医疗队伍 并扩大服务范围， 在本中心内 附设诊所， 除了照顾本院的老人院；儿童院及妇女援助中心外，也惠及 邻居的不幸人士。 同时也免费借用一切医疗设备， 包括病床；轮椅， 拐杖和仪器等等。本协会也设立家庭问题辅导服务中心，以便制止正广泛滋生的家庭问， 建立一个和乐社会。
组织概 况：
本协会礼请热心慈善志人士十八名，组成管理委员会，遴聘院长一名；各部主任三名共同综理院务。下设生活；教学，综务，督导等组。理事会处于？策 ，督，导，协助本协会各部业务的推展及智慧上的贡献。
（一）收容概况：社会孤 老；失亲，受家庭暴力虐待；无依妇幼等。
（二）服务对象：孤苦无依儿童——由婴孩至十八岁的少年。
A：父母双亡，无人抚养者。
B：为社会工作牺牲的烈士遗孤，乏人教养者
C：父母一方死亡。其生存的一方具有：患严重疾病；判刑入狱在受刑期；残废失去工作能力而无法教养者，各部门转介之儿童保护各案。
（三）服务项目：
A: 提供院童； 孤老；妇幼医疗保健，照顾生活起居与身心健康。
B: 著重院童；孤老；妇幼的心理建设，道德；宗教教育。
C: 院童学科业；升学及离院就业的辅导及妇孺就业谋生；手艺；技术训练及自立更生机会。
D: 院童五育均衡发展之策划督导与奖励。
E: 尽力提供家庭问题咨询及辅导服务。
（四）经费来源：自筹；热心慈善人士捐献。
（五）服务区域：全国（不分州属区域）
（六）服务能量：收容人数儿童一百甘名，乐龄人士五十名，妇幼限量甘宗。
（七）服务费用： 免费。
